NO TROUBLE AT' MILL

Don't you just love vintage sellers who sell everything under the sun? Our regular vintage fair exhibitor Old Mill Collectables is one such seller - visit their stall this weekend at Vintage Sunday at the Empire and you will find things you didn't know you needed but suddenly can't live without.

Vintage clothing, bags, hats, gloves, jewellery, teasets, dolls, perfume bottles, records, books, hip flasks, cufflinks, fans, antique lace, 1950s swimsuits - everything but the kitchen sink! Finding something to suit everyone is no trouble at the Mill - at one Vintage Fair I came away with a vintage swimming cap for me, a pewter hip flask for my son, a Bruce Willis picture disc record for my daughter, and vintage Christmas tree decorations for the house. All round satisfaction!

The next Vintage Sunday at the Empire takes place on Sunday 4th July at the Empire Music Hall, Botanic Avenue, Belfast from 12 Noon - 4.30pm, and admission costs £2.

GRANNY CHIC

With the vintage-inspired fashion movement of granny chic proving popular in these times of recession for the wardrobe and the home, original vintage items have never been so sought after with many looking to the closets of our grandmothers for inspiration and hand-me-downs. Now you can raid Granny's Attic for vintage treasures at the next Vintage Sunday at the Empire on 4th July. With vintage clothing, hats, bags, gloves, jewellery, vanity items, bric-a-brac, dolls and toys and a medley of other curios, Granny's Attic is always a popular stall at our Vintage Fairs.

Owner Mary Havern personally sources antique and vintage collectables from as far off as New York so her range is extremely diverse but pleasantly affordable. From brightly coloured necklaces and lacy gloves to 1950s party dresses and lucite handbags there is something to suit every budget.

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME

The Old Tea Rose is back by popular demand at our next Vintage Sunday at the Empire on Sunday 4th July. Owner Sharon always sources fabulous vintage pieces for our customers - from glittering gems to nifty hats, and delectable dresses to glorious gloves and beautiful bags. Her 1950s prom dresses went down a treat at the last Vintage Sunday, held in April.

If you are looking for something really special, whether it be for yourself or a gift for someone else, be sure to arrive early as the really fabulous pieces tend to fly off the rails pretty quickly! You know how it is with vintage - once its gone, its gone forever!

COOL SUMMER

Hot on the heels of the success of Ireland's first Vintage Bridal Fair, we will be keeping it cool this summer with the return of our Vintage Sundays at the Empire. Taking place on the first Sunday of July and August these events will showcase around 18 sellers of all that is kitsch and quirky and incredibly cool.

Recently mentioned in the mini magazine 'Britain's Best Kept Secrets' as a Shoppers' Delight, Frock Around The Clock events are Northern Ireland's premier vintage fairs. Vintage Sundays at the Empire are our smaller events and have a wonderful laid back atmosphere making them the perfect destination for the leisurely Summer Sunday shopper looking for unique one-off finds.

Visitors will find an abundance of 20th Century treasures such as clothing and accessories from the early 1900s, costume and silver jewellery, vinyl records, kitchenlia and homewares, small antiques and collectables, vanity items, and locally handmade accessories and jewellery created from vintage and recycled textiles. Ashby Hair and Claire McEvoy Make-up will also be on hand to create retro beauty looks.

Watch this space for details of the exhibitor line up over the next couple of weeks.
